The theme of this years Costume Institute exhibit has just been RELEASED. The exhibit– "American Woman: Fashioning a National Identity” is set to run from May 5th to August 15th– and will explore the way fashion between 1890 and 1940 contributed to the evolving identity and perception of American women. The show will mark the first Costume Institute exhibit based on the Brooklyn Museum Costume Collection– which was transferred to the Met last January..
