DRESSED BUT NOT BEST
We loved (or liked) every look below, but alas, i couldn't include them on the short list. So a shout out to those who did it right and/or did it well. We're sure there were many other fantastic looks, we just didn't catch them.

RILEY KEOUGH / THAKOON FOR GAP
RACHEL WEISZ / OSCAR DE LA RENTA

SHORT AND SWEET
There were divas in ballgowns, belles in sweeping columns and then there were those who went short and sweet or sexy.  Sometimes this look worked (Chloe), other times it didn't (Carey). Below, my picks for short and sweet.

CHLOE SEVIGNY / PROENZA SCHOULER  L
ove to love you, baby! Chloe always brings it and brings it right.
BLAKE LIVELY / MARCHESA
Sex and legs.
ELIZABETH BANKS / GUCCI
Loved this look on Anna S, love it now– even if i could do without the tights.
CHARLOTTE GAINSBOURG / BALENCIAGA
Sex, rock and roll, legs.
LIU WEN / NAEEM KHAN
Short and sweet.

THE FEY FACTOR
Tina, I think I've finally figured you out. You're comfortable on the worst list, you like it there. It bodes well for your nerdy chic vibe and the ratings. People can still relate to you even though your mega. We're not buying into that BS. I've seen you do fab red carpet in Michael Kors. I've seen you do sexy in Vogue and more recently– that John Varavatos poster! Embrace your gorgeous self! America will still love you.

FASHION TIME OUT
Sarah Jessica Parker,
please report to the fashion closet for your time out. We love your Carrie Bradshaw homage but where's the knock em dead i'm not settling for anything but best dressed vintage Halston? And yes, we're still grudging over your Stella to the Halston documentary fiasco.

BREAST IN SHOW
Not sure what's up with the x-rated cleavage, and not sure if we love it or hate it, either. But Christina Hendricks should totally have a permit to bring those suckers out. They're literally show stoppers. The breast ladies below.

PADMA LAKSHMI / ROBERTO CAVALLI
MAGGIE GYLLENHALL / LOUIS VUITTON
JANET JACKSON / LANVIN
CHRISTINA HENDRICKS / L'WREN SCOTT

DESIGNERS WHO LOOKED FABULOUS!
Designers! Creators of fabulous frocks to make you look even more fabulous. Lets show em some love. To note: We must single out an immaculate Vera Wang , the dapper Karl Lagerfeld, a jean totting Ralph Lauren, the delicious Peter Dundas and Nicolas Ghesquiere and a very pregnant Georgina Chapman. Vera, As much as we loved your date Mila Kuniz look – you kind of outshined her.. And do tell us where you bathed in the fountain of youth. Karl, we like this black on black with white collar look. Tres chic. We'd love to see you in something leather. Ralph in denim and a perfect bowtie is a statement that worked (though not so sure how pleased Anna was), the white hot Peter Dundas is always sexy, so is Nicolas  Ghesquiere, and Georgina Chapman shined in a white mini– a chic pregnancy! Phillip Lim in velvet was sharp, if not literally steamy.

VERA WANG
TOM FORD
DONNA KARAN
KARL LAGERFELD
SOPHIE THEALLET
ERIN FETHERSTON
CAROLINA HERRERA
FRANCISCO COSTA
GEORGINA CHAPMAN
MICHAEL KORS
RALPH LAUREN
NICOLAS GHESQUIERE
PETER DUNDAS
PHILLIP LIM
PETER SOM

MODELS WITH THE MOSTEST
Oh, models. Our picks for best of the beautiful bunch.

NATASHA POLY / MICHAEL KORS
JAMIE BOCHERT / RODARTE FOR GAP
CHANEL IMAN / MICHAEL KORS
DREE HEMINGWAY / CALVIN KLEIN COLLECTION
CAROLINE TRENTINI / STAVROPOULOS
LILY DONALDSON / MARC JACOBS
JESSICA STAM / RACHEL ROY
COCO ROCHAS / ZAC POSEN
ANGELA LINDVALL / SOMETHING FABULOUS

I'LL HAVE WHATEVER TAMARA MELLON IS HAVING
Is it me or is Tamara Mellon looking über glam and sexy as of late?

WHEN IT'S BAD..
It must be said– there were some major red carpet blunders at this years Met Gala. Most notably by Alexander Wang, Chanel and YSL. Wang is white hot in New York and Chanel and YSL are fashion powerhouses. Not sure why there were so many blunders.. let me explain.

KRISTEN STEWART / CHANEL HAUTE COUTURE
When wearer and gown collide. This Chanel Haute Couture Gown was once edgy yet elegant. I don't know what to call it on Kristen but it isn't good.
GISELE BUNDCHEN / ALEXANDER WANG
Oh Gisele! You've been killing it editorially as of late. This dress sucked out most of your inherent sexiness– if that's possible.
KATY PERRY / SOMETHING AWFUL
Ok, so Katy is always a wild card and bad trumps good most of the time. We could have left the light up dress alone but the accessories– that necklace– really put us over the edge.
MARY J BLIGE / J MENDEL
Mary J brought the diva persona– but the dress didn't match the attitude.
MIA / ALEXANDER WANG FOR GAP
Is there really anything to say about this except for we still love MIA?
ZOE KRAVITZ / ALEXANDER WANG FOR GAP
Pass.
KRISTEN DUNST / RODARTE FOR GAP
The Rodarte for Gap lost its erethralness with the gap collab. I thought it looked pretty from the back.
MARION COTILLARD / CHRISTIAN DIOR
Marion has been on a loosing streak with Dior and we don't know why. Her looks are just falling flat when they should be fabulous.
ROSARIO DAWSON / GIAMBATTISTA VALLI
Maybe I'm not used to Rosario in pink ruffles, or maybe I just find that kind of men's approach to femininity offensive. I just thought shes seen much better red carpet days.
JANUARY JONES / YSL
Where do we start? The makeup? The dress? January needs to get her red carpet groove back.
DOUTZEN KROES / ZAC POSEN
When goddess of all things sexy Doutzen Kroes can't make your dress work.. you know there's something wrong.
