The girls over at JEZEBEL are having a good laugh over Lady Gaga performing in THE Hussein Chalayan bubble dress – we are in heaven! Gaga impressed us with her straight from the dominatrix shop getup last month but this is just beyond, we're talking Björk swan dress level here. And yes, everyone gets compared to Björk because she's Björk. When someone else is able to dethrone her, we can compare elsewhere. But until then, we refer to Björk. LOL That is not the Hussein Chalayan dress. She supposedly designs all her own clothes but they are really ripoffs from other designers. I noticed that when I was trying to figure out why one of her outfits looked like a Thierry Mugler dress I had seen, but really badly done. I thought, this couldn't possibly be the actual Mugler dress, it just doesn't look right. And it wasn't. She makes her own clothes that are 'inspired' by other designers. |

Hey J. Thanks for your comment. We realized it wasn't the actual Chalayan and it is noted in the post. We scooped this story first so our post came before all of the "Is it real? It's not real" backlash. We still heart Gaga even though she rips the dress off. We hope Chalayan took it as a compliment– as that's how we interpreted it. |
