LVMH SETS SIGHTS ON RODARTE
The rumors have been around for at least a few seasons but today they reach fever point. WWD scoops that LVMH and Rodarte are in talks. Will Rodarte become the next jewel in LVMH's ultra glossy jewel box? If the the last three years and those BLACK SWAN costumes are anything to go by.. we'd say scoop them up before someone else does!

HEADS TO CHRISTIE'S
Fashion legend Isabella Blow's archive of ultimates–Alexander McQueen and Philip Treacy – are set to hit Christie's auction house come September 15th 2010. A coffee table tribute book will be published to accompany the out of sight auction.
WWD reports the sale will include 50 Treacy hats and 90 styles by McQueen, whose graduate collection Blow famously purchased — and paid for in regular installments. Museums, Institutions, Designers, Admirers– this auction is not to be missed!

ZAC POSEN TO SHOW
AT PARIS FASHION WEEK
Zac Posen's been showing collections in New York for about a decade and it seems as though he's ready to move on to Paris. At least that's the sentiment we picked up after ALL THE BUZZ from yesterdays widely reported anona-showroom visit. Now don't get us wrong– 212 loves Zac– but we think this is a positive thing. Posen's collections are vibing with the Euro set as of late and with the New York press fawning over the Proenza's and Altuzarra's – perhaps a move to Paris is just what he needs to shift the momentum. Fall had us thinking of Zac Posen as a young mix between Ungaro and Rochas with a touch of Americana. We should note– since Giles hasn't been officially been named at Ungaro yet– Zac Posen for Emanuel Ungaro has a nice flair to it– don't you think?
